A demon from my world has recently arrived in Chicago. His name is Crowley. He is what’s called a crossroads demon and he is very powerful. Be careful, and do not let him coerce you into making a deal. I do not know if they will still work in this universe, but I do not want you to take the risk on your souls.

Sam, Jo—he is from your future. He knows things, some of it I have already told you, some I have not. If there are any questions with regards to the claims he makes, please come to me. He has been known to … exaggerate the truth to his convenience.

There are some matters I need to attend to outside Chicago. I will try not to be gone long, but it will take some time. I will take my journal with me, but I am unsure as to how far the magic reaches. Elizabeth, if you do not mind, I wish to leave Gabriel with you until I return, however if that is an inconvenience I will find other means.

My boss friend boss guy friend says that the journal network usually only lasts for whatever city you're in at the time.

When you leave Chicago, you don't have access to the network anymore and other journal entries in other places will show up instead.
